That’s what I say.
My family signed another two year contract with Verizon, and everyone upgraded to iPhones at home, but since I’m here at university I still have this non-iPhone. To be honest, I am not even a big fan of smart phones. I just need my phone to text and to call and I don’t even need it to browse the internet. However, something that frustrates me about this phone is that it cannot record or play videos. My older phone used to be able to send videos, and my friends and I used to video message each other all of the time. I’ve been missing that capability.
Plus I’ve got to get a phone that’s connected to email. Because now I actually get emails that matter. And that are time sensitive. It’s going to be sad the day when I am one of those business men always attached to his phone. Or addicted to apps. Right now I can say that I hope that I have the willpower to avoid being the type of person I hate, but I really won’t know until I have that iPhone in my hands. Spring break. That’s the next time I will be home. That’s when I’ll upgrade my ID to the 21 year old version. And that’s when I will get my new telephone.
While I am talking about phones, I’ll just throw out something that bothers me quite a bit. I’ll get a text message with a legible typo in it, and then I’ll get another text message correcting said typo. I think it’s great that you noticed that you made a mistake and that you want to fix it. But I don’t know, for some reason getting that additional text message just bothers me. But I am guilty of doing the same thing. Except I use t9. So sometimes I try to write the word “cock” to someone and instead my phone sends “anal”. Now that’s a mistake that I think needs clarification.
Edit: there is another thing that bothers me. I dislike when I text somebody, and they send me a message back asking me who I am. Why don’t you have my number? Don’t you want my number? I guess not. Since you haven’t bothered entering me into your contact book since the last time you “lost your phone” or “upgraded your phone.” There’s plenty of services to save your contacts online and in other places so that this would never be a real problem. I just get annoyed and never respond.
