As I was relieving my alcohol filled bladder at a Quick Chek at 3am, I saw this sign above the toilet and it just skeeved me out so much that I kicked the handle when I was finished and then ran out of the restroom (after washing my hands of course).
It’s honestly one of the worst sensations when you finish washing your hands, and you realize that you have to touch the faucet to turn it off. And then you realize that you either have to touch the button on the hand drying machine to activate it or you have to touch the handle to dispense the paper towels in order to dry your hands.
And the worst. By far, the worst realization is the fact that you have to touch the doorknob to get out. At least with the handle on the sink, and the button on the hand dryer or the handle on the paper towel dispenser, you could lie to yourself and believe that only a person who has thoroughly washed their hands would be touching any of those surfaces. But the door knob. The door knob is fair game for anyone. What was the last thing that they touched before they touched that door knob.
