“If a girl looks swell when she meets you, who gives a damn if she’s late? Nobody.”

As much as I’d love to be able to agree with the main character from my favourite book, I am going to have to respectfully disagree with the imaginary Holden Caulfield here. I understand that some people might have personal issues that two hours of hair and makeup might alleviate, but I can only wish that one day you will not feel the need to spend that kind of time refining a beauty that is already there. But hey, honestly, if you want to spend all of your life getting ready, that’s acceptable because you have creative control over how you live your own life. However, it does start to bother me when I am waiting on you and you are eating into my time. I know that for most people, self esteem can be built up or broken down with their physical appearance, but I can only hope that one day you will be able to realize how beautiful you are when you wake up in the morning. And I hope one day that realization will add two hours back into your life every single day for as long as you are alive.
