I’m on my way out.
I am going to graduate. It’s time to finalize my diploma. It doesn’t surprise me that four years have passed, because I am not an absent minded person. However, when I looked at the prototype of my diploma, I saw something I did not want to see. “Rutgers Business School - NWK/ NB.” I do not go to Rutgers Newark. I do not want Rutgers Newark on my diploma. I especially do not want Newark listed before New Brunswick. In the New Brunswick business school, when we look at Rutgers Newark we see second rate students who were not accepted into the New Brunswick campus. Whenever we compare any statistics that rank the two campuses against each other, we blow them out of the water. It took looking at my diploma and being offended by the idea of being lumped in the same category as Newark to make me realize that I do have school pride. Maybe I should have gone to more football games.
