What is the light outside?

I tried going to bed early because I had to wake up early. I crawled into bed at 12:30am. That should have given me a decent six hour rest. I laid face down in my bed until I heard my roommate go to bed. About ten minutes later I heard him snoring. I checked the time and it was now 1:21am. He accomplished in ten minutes what I failed to accomplish in an hour. Eventually I did fall asleep. But then I woke up at 2:30am. And 4:30am. And 5:30am. And then 6:17am where I just stayed up until my alarm went off. Not being able to sleep is the worst.

On top of that, I’ve been hanging out with the same sick person Thursday, Friday, and Sunday and now I am pretty certain that I am sick too. I am eating these vitamin C supplements trying to recover. I went into my first day of interning feeling like I had a fever. I have my own desk and my own cubicle. It’s amazing; it’s everything I had ever dreamed of minus the paycheck. I messed around with important company documents on J.D. Edwards and Excel for eight hours.

During my lunch break of course I went to Taco Bell, but the beefy crunch burritos at this particular restaurant were $1.99 each. Like heathens, they charged me $1 for a cup so that I could drink water. Blasphemy. That should have only been a $3 meal.

I felt sick and exhausted and when I finally returned home at 7pm I went straight to bed. When I woke up it was 8am. That is a 13 hour slumber.
